All CD Tracks Completed!
-
April 6, 2007
On March 30, Jeep and Robert Steven Williams finished the last tweaks and tweezes of mixing on the 10 tracks of "Silver Bluff Estates"...9 originals, 1 cover. Frankford Wayne--a name to conjure with in audio engineering circles--was kind enough to preview the mixes for technical issues. A group of music & broadcast pros have given the tracks a pre-listen...particularly helpful in finalizing the sequence of songs. Now comes re-focus on the graphic design for the CD. Two photo shoots with top fashion and music photographer Jason Byrd have been wrapped up. The new photo on the "splash" (opening) page of the website is a sample of the new imagery. All very exciting, and hints toward a release in May...
Jeep's Patron Retires
-
September 14, 2006
"Mr. Rosenberg" (Charles R. Rosenberg), who has supported Jeep for many years, putting on a suit and working diligently most days to keep Jeep in guitars, is taking early retirement from the United Nations on September 15, so Jeep can pursue his writing and music full-time. Mr. Rosenberg's career as a civilian peacekeeper in Mozambique, Haiti, and Kosovo provided Jeep with unusual, thought-provoking, and sometimes heart-wrenching experiences, as well as an honorable paycheck. Both will be missed!

Song Signed to Nashville's Leading Film/TV Library

April 20, 2006
My song "Whatever Happened to Mercy" was recently signed to 615 Music's new library of songs for film and TV use. (Retitled "Long Way to Go", see
www.615music.com, go to Song Catalog) The song was selected as one of an initial two dozen plus songs in deal concluded between Against the Grain Productions and 615, the #1, Emmy-winning film/TV house in Nashville. Will be a track on my forthcoming CD, but for this deal we demo'd the song with master vocalist Penny Nichols (Jackson Browne, Jimmy Buffett, etc.). 615, which had previously focused on instrumental properties, is currently expanding aggressively into creating song libraries.

After much back and forth, we went with Oasis for our CD manufacturer. Their in-house design shop is great, and they have an excellent all-'round track record.
